Traxcell Technologies has followed through with a Second Patent Infringement lawsuit against Apple regarding Apple Maps
When you do a simple Google search on "Traxcell Technologies" all that you'll find is a long list of legal cases that they've filed against companies like Sprint, AT&T and Apple. That would strongly suggest that Traxcell is a "non-practicing entity" commonly referred to as a patent troll.
With that said, a court document revealed On June 24, 2021, that Traxcell served Apple with its preliminary infringement contentions regarding their patent 10,820,147. In August Apple filed a Complaint for Declaratory Judgement of Noninfringement of the '147 patent. Yesterday, Traxcell officially followed through with their patent infringement case against Apple based on the '147 patent. The case is focused on Apple Maps allegedly infringing Traxcell's patent.
The lawsuit is detailed with many graphics. You could read the Plaintiff's full complaint filed with the court in the SCRIBD document below, courtesy of Patently Apple.
Traxcell's latest patent infringement case adds to their original case regarding Apple Maps filed back in late January 2021 covering different patents.
