Apple has been Awarded Six Design Patents covering the 2021 Redesigned iMac and Keyboard +
On Friday, the Hong Kong Patent and Trademark Office granted Apple four design patents for the redesigned 2021 iMac along with two additional patents for the iMac's new keyboard with Touch ID built-in. In addition, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office granted Apple two design patents for "Retail Fixtures" on Tuesday.
Unlike "patent applications" that provide the public with an abstract, summary and details of an invention, design patents published around the world are limited to only providing the public with design patent figures. No additional specifics of the design are made available.
Four Design Patents for the 2021 iMac
Apple filed their design patents under Locarno Classification 14:02 which covers "Computer casings, data processing equipment and devices."
Two Design Patents for the 2021 iMac Keyboard
Apple filed their iMac Keyboard under Locarno 14:02 which also covers "Peripheral apparatus, computer keyboards."
Two U.S. Retail Fixtures' Design Patents
Lastly, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office granted Apple two design patents for "Retail Fixtures on Tuesday that are illustrated below. The first design patent D930,405 was Apple's third for this design. The second design Patent D930,409 was Apple's second for this design.
