Two new Executives have joined Molly Thompson, Head of Documentaries / Non-Fiction, to beef up Non-Fiction Content
Former Spotify exec Erika Clarke and ex-Lifetime exec Colleen Grogan have joined Apple TV+ as the streamer ramps up its non-scripted efforts. Erika Clarke's official title, according to LinkedIn, is "Non-Fiction Programming Executive." Grogan's title is slightly different on LinkedIn, as "Executive, Apple TV+ Nonfiction."
The two hires are the first U.S.-based non-fiction executives hired by Molly Thompson since the A&E IndieFilms founder Molly Thompson joined as Head of Documentaries/Non-Fiction in 2019.
Erika Clarke, who joined Apple in January, was previously executive producer at Spotify Studios, where she co-ran the company’s podcast studio division that included original content, according to LinkedIn.
Colleen Grogan, who is based in New York, joined Apple last September. Grogan was previously SVP of development for Breaking Amish producer Hot Snakes Media.
Apple’s slate of documentaries and non-fiction series thus far includes Boys State, Beastie Boys Story, Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry and upcoming The Supermodels from Imagine Documentaries and Barbara Kopple and Todd Haynes’ The Velvet Underground.
