Sales of iPhone's Erupt in Mainland China in January with Astounding Growth that's Spilling into February
According to Evercore Research Institute, the latest data for iPhone sales in China for January grew an astounding 158%. More importantly, Analyst Amit Daryanni noted that February iPhone sales thus far appear to be maintaining strong growth.
Further, China's JP Morgan Chase analyst Samik Chatterjee confirmed Apple's stunning January sales citing a report by the China Institute of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT).
Chatterjee added that the iPhone's performance is gaining momentum for the first calendar quarter of 2021 ( Apple's fiscal second quarter). The report pointed out that the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro had strong sales in January and the momentum should alleviate doubts about the weaker demand going into 2021.
The data showed that overall, smartphone shipments in Mainland China in January increased by 51%, making Apple's performance extraordinary.
