Samsung Introduced new Galaxy Phones today with their Ultra Model Cameras Aiming to Challenge those found on the Phone 12 Pro Max
Samsung held their annual Galaxy Unpacked 2021 today and released a host of devices. Below you'll find a series of Samsung videos. You could watch the full keynote or just the highlights. We also have a series of brief individual product overviews so that you could just choose the products you want to know about and in what order. All in all, the videos are better than reading press releases.
It's the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra that was the heart of show and more importantly their new set of backside cameras to challenge the iPhone 12 Pro Max. The one area of weakness for the iPhone 12 Max is its zooming power.
Samsung's Galaxy new cameras include a new dual telephoto lens can be 3x and 10x optical zoom and 100x or 20x Zoom Lock captures. In addition to that, all the video cameras can shoot 8K at once. You can even film 12-bit RAW content, which looks extremely promising. All cameras are going to be able to shoot 4K at 60 frames per second.
Back in July Patently Apple posted a report titled "While a Periscope Camera Module was supposed to be ready for iPhone 11, a new Rumor claims that the Project is still ongoing." Then in December a rumor report from The Elec claimed that Apple could decide to use Samsung parts for a folded lens zoom in 2022. Hopefully Apple will advance their camera zoom for the iPhone 13 and not leave us hanging until 2022.
As for Samsung's new cameras, we'll have to wait for pro camera reviews to surface that could walk us through the cameras on the Ultra model to see if they actually deliver what Samsung has claimed. For now you could review the Galaxy S21 Ultra overview video below for more details.
