Former White House CTO Sides with Apple against the Position that Epic Games takes that the App Store Fee is Unfair

1 x cover Aneesh Chopra

The fight between Apple and Epic Games has now moved to Apple notifying Epic that they have until August 28 to address the violation of the App Store's payment processing system or be locked out of iOS and Mac Developer tools. It's only fair considering that Epic's real goal in all of this, as they tell the court, is to "end to Apple’s dominance over key technology markets." The question becomes, who's threatening who?

Today Aneesh Chopra, president of CareJourney who served as the first U.S. Chief Technology Officer under President Obama, joined "Squawk Box" to discuss the Apple-Epic feud. Chopra, who believes in market competition, doesn't think that Apple's 30% fee structure for some of the Apps on their App Store is unfair at all.
