On Friday the Hong Kong Patent Office Granted Apple 28 'Apple Card' related Design Patents
Yesterday Patently Apple posted a report titled "Apple has been granted 9 Design Patents Covering Powerbeats Pro Earphones and Charging Case." Our report today covers the Hong Kong Patent Office granting Apple a series of 28 design patents covering all-things related to 'Apple Card.'
Unlike "patent applications" that provide the public with an abstract, summary and details of an invention, design patents published around the world are limited to only providing the public with design patent figures along with bare bone specifics such as filing dates, the Locarno Class and so forth.
28 Apple Card Design Patents
All of the "Registered" designs presented above were filed under Locarno Class 14 – 04 covering "Screen Displays and Graphical Icons."
For those unfamiliar with Apple's credit card: 'Apple Card' is a credit card that was created by Apple and developed by Goldman Sachs. It's primarily designed to be used with Apple Pay on Apple devices such as an iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, or Mac. Apple Card's official launch in the United States was on August 20, 2019.
