On Tuesday Patently Apple posted a report titled "Singapore Airlines and Virgin Australia Make MacBook Pro Announcements regarding Battery Issues." Today South China Morning Post reports that Qantas Airways, the flag carrier of Australia, announced it would also impose Apple MacBook Pro flight restrictions over battery fire risks. The airline is banning all 15-inch MacBook Pro models from being stored in checked-in luggage.
For the curious, the Qantas name comes from "QANTAS", an acronym for its original name, "Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services", and it is nicknamed "The Flying Kangaroo."
