Apple Seeks Trademark 'Power for Impact' that covers Energy, Power Generation and Funding Research Related to Energy
Apple has filed for the trademark "Power for Impact" in Hong Kong, China. The problem with new design patents and trademark filings in general is that companies are allowed to limit the amount of information that they make public. In the specific case of the all-new trademark for Apple's "Power for Impact," we're only given a wide spectrum of possibilities for what it will truly be used for.
Apple has filed their trademark under five distinct International Classes, each with a purposely long list of confusing possibilities making it impossible to confidently assess the trademark's purpose.
Speculation, based on the distinct classes chosen by Apple, suggests that the trademark could be used in connection with clean energy, energy and power generation, recycling and financial services related to funding research in the field of energy production, generation, usage, consumption, and efficiency; energy brokerage and trading services.
