Yesterday Xbox co-creator Nat Brown started a new position at Apple according to his Twitter account entry embedded below. Further down on this Twitter feed he noted that: "I’m looking forward to continuing to work on my obsessions by focusing on all applications of graphics, and working with any of you using graphics on Apple platforms."

Crunchbase notes that Nat Brown had a primary role in the creation of XML, DHTML, and the first Xbox.
Brown was an engineer at Valve Corporation with no mention of being involved with VR, though his LinkedIn profile does mention being an "advisor" to VREAL Brown notes that "VREAL helps VR developers build community, lets streamers broadcast VR, and lets viewers watch streams from their own full VR perspective. I'm excited to work with Todd and the focused team he's building around what I think is fundamental VR technology." See VREAL at Valve here.
It’s unclear whether Brown will continue to work on VR at Apple and he's not yet updated his linkedin profile which still describes himself as "VR engineer at large."
