On April 25th Patently Apple posted a report titled "Apple invention regarding Indoor Location Mapping describes the use of Individual iPhone Store Apps." Our report also pointed to Apple currently has four additional patent-pending inventions covering an indoor location app in the works (01, 02, 03 & 04).

According to a report posted by 9to5Mac earlier today, TF Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is out with a new report now stating that 2019 iPhones will use a new modified-PI antenna structure that will improve the iPhone’s performance when it comes to indoor navigation.

Between Apple's long list of indoor navigation patents and now a rumor from Apple's supply chain via Kou, it sure looks like this invention via new app for indoor mall maps and stores could be getting closer to reality. It would be a very practical app to have on our iPhones in the future.
