Disney is going to launch Disney+ in November, just as Apple will be launching Apple TV+ sometime in Q4. Today we're learning that Apple has hired a Disney executive to beef up Apple TV+ management.
Bloomberg's Anousha Sakoui reports that "Chiara Cipriani started with Apple as a director of video services earlier this month in London, according to her LinkedIn bio, after a decade and more at Disney."
The report further notes that "Apple’s hiring suggests that the company is building up the international operations for its Apple TV+ streaming service. The company has hired a number of creative executives from British broadcasters, as well as talent from Amazon and Netflix." For more on this, read the full Bloomberg report here.
