Samsung's Galaxy S10 Face Unlock Feature has been proven to be absolutely useless
Samsung's obsession of trying to copy key Apple iPhone features is legendary. Their latest obsession of trying to copy Apple's Face ID feature in their new Galaxy S10 smartphone is not only inferior, it's been proven to be absolutely useless by Lewis Hilsenteger of Unbox Therapy.
In his video below you'll see the simplicity of hacking the new Galaxy S10 using 'Face Unlock.' My lord it's so embarrassing. What was Samsung thinking of? It completely tarnishes their brand by being this off on an important security feature. Apple's Face ID team must be rolling on the floor laughing at Samsung's engineering team.
Hilsenteger states that "If convenience is your priority face unlock will work but understand the potential consequences;" Right, like not actually offering any security value whatsoever.
Hilsenteger even goes on to question the quality of the Galaxy S10's new ultrasonic fingerprint scanner that sits under the display.
