It appears that Apple wants to get their new iPads out of the way of their March 25th event as the Apple Store is down at present with high expectations that their new  iPads will be debuting. If you happen to follow Bloomberg's Mark Gurman's twitter site then you know that he hinted that this update including iMacs could be arriving before the Apple event on Saturday as noted below.

If Apple was to be planning, say, new iPad and iMac announcements for this week, it would make a real statement about how much it wants to focus its March 25th event on its news and video services.
