New Report Breaks Down Smartphone Sales in October by Brand with Apple Crushing Samsung and all Chinese Vendors
According to a new research report providing insights into the mobile handset market sales in the month of October 2017, Apple is starting to gain momentum with iPhone 8. Both the iPhone 8 Series models captured the top two positions in the list of bestselling smartphones. Expect Apple's share to increase as iPhone X flows into sales figures from November 2017 onward.
Premium models started eating share from mid-tier models. Apple continues to dominate the Premium segment ($400+), while the mid-tier is still dominated by Vivo and Oppo.
It was interesting to note that Apple's older iPhone 6 was amazingly as popular as Samsung's latest Galaxy S8 and sold more than Oppo's leading R11 with dual 20MP cameras.
It once again proves that when you remove the nonsensical noise of 'Volume Sales' statistics, which are meaningless, the reality of brand sales statistics clearly show us why Apple is the known industry leader while explaining why the competition is falling over themselves to copy Apple's Face ID feature except for Samsung.
