New Illustrations Surface from Foster and Partners that showcase the Coming Apple Piazza Liberty Store in Milan
In January Patently Apple posted a report covering one of Apple's most innovative stores being constructed in Milan Italy with some really cool technological advances that will turn its giant fountain wall located over the store into an amphitheater on special occasions to play movies or have special entertainment and more. The original illustration of the amphitheater was crude and didn't provide the visual depth that is available in today's report. New illustrations from Foster and Partners were published today by Storeteller in Germany and they're stunning when enlarged – especially the one with the amphitheater at night.
Patently Apple's follow-up report posted on May 15th covered Apple announcing it was opening soon and that perhaps Apple would be using a new sound system revealed in an Apple patent filing. The system was designed by the Lucasfilm THX sound system inventor and meant for large events including amphitheaters.
The last illustration is a cool showing the multi-level store design that's under the fountain wall and amphitheater. Just when you thought that the Apple Store Michigan Avenue was cool, we're reminded that the Apple store coming to Milan is even more of a marvel.
Its' going to be yet another tourist attraction for Milan that is rich in culture and the second largest city in Italy after Rome. I have to admit that I'm a little envious of the lucky locals for getting such an elaborate Apple Store, that's for sure.
