For those who said the Days of Long Lineups for a new iPhone were over: Think Again
For the iPhone 8, Apple's pre-order war room was in high gear and sold out quickly, as was the case for the iPhone X as we reported on last Friday. For the iPhone 8, fans had used online sales to make their purchases for the most part and over the course of launch day the stores filled up with happy fans.
The days of long lines may in fact be over to a certain degree, but not when there's a shortage of Apple's high-end iPhone X near Christmas, that dynamic is turned on its head.
Apple Stores have limited allotment of the new iPhone X and that will indeed bring the long lines back to life in no time as witnessed below in a video taken outside the Apple Orchard Road in Singapore today. The Singapore store opened its doors for the first time on May 27th.
By the size of the crowds that we're seeing gather outside the Singapore store at this moment, we'd have to conclude that Apple has some real die-hard fans in Singapore: who knew? For more on this including more photos check out the Chanel NewsAsia report here.
