Video Review: Apple TV 4K Plus and Minuses
The new Apple TV can stream HD 4K TV. Apple's new hardware puts the company on equal footing with Roku, Amazon, and Chrome, all of which already offer devices capable of 4K streaming. But there's an annoying problem, according to reviewer Nilay Patel.
The first thing to know about the Apple TV 4K is that it doesn't support 4K or HDR on YouTube. In the big picture, the review by Patel is fair in showing all of the new Apple TV's strengths like the new processor and the great UI while dinging Apple for being the most expensive set-top box that doesn't support Dolby's HDR Atmos, Dolby's highend surround sound standard, like the cheaper Roku box does. All in all it's worth checking out the video review if you're seriously thinking about getting the new box from Apple.
