KGI predicts the new LTE Apple Watch won't have a new Form Factor
On August 6 Patently Apple posted a report titled "The Apple Watch Breakthrough that we've all been waiting for may arrive in Q4," which is of course independent cellular connectivity. Now Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities has released a new forecast on the next generation Apple Watch. According to Kuo, the Apple Watch 3 will ship later this year with both LTE and non-LTE models while not offering a new form factor. Kuo specifies that the Apple Watch will continue to ship in two size configurations: 38mm and 42mm cases. What's hard to believe at this point in time is KGI's guesstimate that the LTE model will only account for 35-40% of Apple Watch volume for the holiday quarter.
