In February Patently Apple posted a report titled "Warren Buffet says Apple is their Second-Biggest Holding because they have 'Quite a Sticky Product'." Back then Buffet noted that Berkshire's stake in Apple stood at 133 million shares. We learn today from a CNBC interview that Berkshire owns 2.5% of Apple and that Buffet has never sold a share of the stock, even though partners in the firm with other portfolios have.
As of June 30, 2017, regulatory filings show Berkshire has amassed a 130.2 million shares of Apple. Based on a $162 share price, Berkshire's Apple stake was worth about $21.1 billion.
