Apple wins a Design Patent for an Unfamiliar Apple Watch Stand
On Friday Apple was granted a new design patent by the Hong Kong Patent Office covering an Apple Watch stand. The design is unfamiliar. Whether this is a new stand design to come, one that will fit into some kind of future Apple Store or partner display is unknown at this time. Unlike "patent applications," design patents that are published by the U.S. or any foreign Patent and Trademark Office don't reveal pertinent information about a particular design. All we get are simple patent figures as noted below.
In the patent figures above and below we're able to clearly see an element extending from the base. It is here where we see the Apple Watch charging unit resting on the extension to power up.
