Almost a year ago we posted a report about Apple's first flagship store coming to Taiwan where over 40 of their suppliers are located including TSMC and Foxconn. The new store was being earmarked for Taipei. It now appears that the opening of their new store will happen later this month.
The new Apple Store's web page is now up with this roughly translated message:
"Have leisure to sit.
Taiwan's first Apple Direct store, will meet you in Taipei!
Apple Taipei 101 will provide a space for you to experience Apple's complete products and services, as well as to create, share and learn together.
Like the Taiwanese always gather under a big tree, prepare a pot of tea, let the past people can exchange, fun, start again.
To celebrate the opening, we specially invite Taiwan paper-cut artist Yang Shiyi, also to the tree as the visual subject, creating huge paper-cut works,
The beauty of this gathering is welcome to have a free ride."
The Store is located at No. 45th, Xinyi District City Road, Taipei 101 Taipei 02 8726 3500. Apple Daily has listed a few photos of the classic Apple wall that pops up days before the store opens. It's expected to open before the end of the month.
