Ahead of the Launch of the Xbox Scorpio Console at E3 on Sunday, Microsoft Files for 'DirectReality' Trademark
While you're a die-hard Apple fan, you may also be an Xbox fan as well. This Sunday the Xbox E3 briefing begins at 2:01 pm PDT and you can watch it right here. Ahead of the event, Microsoft filed for the new trademark "DirectReality" and updated their Windows 10 trademark as well.
Microsoft's trademark was filed under International Classes 09 and 042 as follows:
Microsoft's Class 09 verbiage coverage notes "Computer software; computer game software; computer software for holographic applications."
Microsoft's Class 42 verbiage coverage notes "Online computer software; online computer game software; online computer software for holographic applications; Software as a Service (SaaS)."
Microsoft is likely to make a big push for Xbox Scorpio along with their HoloLens. We reported last week that at Computex Microsoft announced that HP, Dell, Asus and Acer will be supporting Microsoft's Mixed Reality headset platform for Christmas and Microsoft introduced new headset hand controllers at that show.
