1 AFX 88 cover magic trackpad 2 wins design patent

Apple introduced the Magic Trackpad 2 in October 2015 along with updated iMacs. The Magic Trackpad 2 was designed to be rechargeable and brought Force Touch to the desktop for the first time. Earlier this month the Hong Kong Patent and Trademark Office granted Apple a series of four design patents covering the Magic Trackpad 2. Our report provides you with a series of patent graphics from the design patents awarded to Apple.

Unlike "patent applications," design patents that are published by the U.S. or any Patent and Trademark Office around the world don't reveal pertinent information about a particular design. All we get are a set of simple patent figures like those presented below. Apple's granted design patents were numbered 1600111.3M001 through to .3M004.
