Microsoft's Marketing VP Boasts of Most MacBook Switchers to Surface ever Due to Disappointing MacBook for Pros
During Apple's latest Financial Conference Call Apple's CEO noted that "'iPhone customers are the most satisfied and loyal customers in the world and fiscal 2016 saw more customers switch from Android to iPhone than ever before." It's something Tim Cook had done every quarter this year. Now Microsoft wants to borrow that tactic against Apple. Microsoft's Device Marketing VP Brian Hall is claiming that their Surface line of hardware is experiencing its best holiday day sales ever. Better yet, "More people are switching from Macs to Surface than ever before."
Hall added on the company's blog that "Our trade-in program for MacBooks was our best ever, and the combination of excitement for the innovation of Surface coupled with the disappointment of the new MacBook Pro – especially among professionals – is leading more and more people to make the switch to Surface.
To rub it in, Hall added "It seems like a new review recommending Surface over MacBook comes out daily. This makes our team so proud, because it means we're doing good work."
As was said in corny Western movies of yesteryear: "Them's is fighting words."
Expect Apple's Tim Cook to emphasize during January's Financial Conference Call that the MacBook enjoyed the best holiday sales in years, to combat Microsoft's offensive. Count on it.
