Busy MacBook Pro Chassis Maker 'Catcher' Reports 18.3% Leap in Quarterly Earnings
The buzz is on for Apple to launch their new MacBook Pro later this month with many sources pinning the date to October 27. The new MacBooks will sport Intel's next generation processors that Intel's Navin Shenoy, VP, GM Client Computing Group says will introduce the 'immersive internet' where access to 4K Ultra High-Definition, 360-degree video, and virtual reality will dramatically rise. Another party that is happy today is Apple's MacBook chassis maker Catcher who just reported their third quarter revenues were up 18.3%. Catcher is busy supplying Apple with iPhone 7 and MacBook chassis.
It's being reported out of Taiwan today that "Catcher is a chassis supplier for Apple's iPhone and Mac and because of orders for the iPhone 7/7 Plus and new MacBook Pro, the maker's revenues in October are expected to grow even higher, according to sources from the upstream supply chain, adding that Catcher will supply 60% of Apple's new MacBook Pro orders, while Casetek, a subsidiary of Pegatron Technology, will supply about 30% and Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry) 10%.
Apple's iPhone 7 and MacBook Pro orders also helped battery maker Simplo record 9% higher September revenues.
