Apple Music Officially Launches in Israel
Apple Music has launched in Israel. Although the Apple Music website is in English and looks like the American webpage, at the bottom of the page you'll clearly see the flag icon of Israel. Apple's individual plan starts at 19.90 ILS ($5.21) per month, with a family plan costing 29.90 ILS ($7.83).
Apple's individual plan starts at 19.90 ILS ($5.21) per month, with a family plan costing 29.90 ILS ($7.83). These prices are significantly lower than Apple’s fees in the United States, reports Israeli news site Haareetz.
The Haareetz further noted that "Apple has adapted its music-streaming service for Israel. The company has used local music editors to help create the Israeli music catalog, which is filled with Hebrew songs – including styles such as Jewish cantorial music and Middle Eastern (Mizrahi) music.
Classic Israeli artists such as Shalom Hanoch and Arik Einstein are featured, as well as more contemporary artists such as Static and Ben El Tavori – and even Dedi Dadon. And by using the search feature, you can find less well-known local artists."
As we reported in June, Apple is continuing their efforts to launch Apple Music in South Korea but still have a few snags to iron out before getting that service rolled out.
