Today "The Drive" online magazine published a report titled "The 10 most Influential People in Automotive Technology." The ten people listed include the following:

  • Uri Levine, 51, Founder, Waze
  • Christian Von Koenigsegg, 43; CEO and founder, Koenigsegg Automotive AB
  • Dan Greenawalt, 42; Creative Director, Turn 10 Studios, founder of Forza
  • Jony Ive, 49, Chief Design Officer, Apple Inc
  • Kazunori Yamauchi, 48; Designer and Producer, Gran Turismo
  • Andre Haddad, CEO, Turo
  • Tim Cook, 55, CEO, Apple Inc
  • Elon Musk, 44; CEO, Tesla Motors and Space X
  • John Krafcik, 54; CEO, Google Self-Driving Cars

In January we learned from the German weekly Welt am Sonntag that Daimler's Chief Executive Dieter Zetsche had discovered in a recent trip to Silicon Valley that Apple had made more progress on their automotive projects than he had assumed. Last month we reported that Apple has a small secret Project Titan team in Germany that has been in talks with Magna for a possible partnership with Apple.
