A minor Apple patent application published today covers a wireless Beats-like headphone set. It describes much of what the Beats by Dr. Dre Solo2 Wireless headset does in the sense of working with Apple's iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch with a built in mic so you could take hands-free calls. Of course there'll be some refinements like the processor allowing for seamless transition from wired to wireless without losing any data.
Apple has been working on several forms of wireless headsets for years (one, two and three). While there's nothing earth shatteringly new about this particular headset, you could always review the finer details here if you're an audiophile.
Although the patent application doesn't identify itself as a continuation patent (likely from Beats) – the noted cancellation of five patent claims would all but confirm that.
