Apple to Open New Canadian Office in Automotive Industrial Park

It was reported late yesterday that Apple has established a presence in Ottawa, Canada. Sources say they believe that a 22,100-square-foot suite located at 411 Legget Drive in the Kanata Research Park will be devoted to an Apple research and development center. Ottawa has a major presence in the automotive software sector. Kanata Research Park is already home to BlackBerry's automotive division, QNX Software Systems, which recently unveiled a slate of new software for the rapidly evolving driverless car market. This is an interesting development for Apple in context with their Project Titan which is rumored to be connected to developing an electric car or car systems. KRP Properties describes the space as a "full-floor office suite with executive boardroom, meeting rooms, several offices, server room, lunchroom, showers, private balconies and lab space," reports the Ottawa Business Journal.
