Apple Files for 'Apple TVOS', iPad Pro & Wallet Trademarks in Europe
Today the European Patent & Trademark Office published Apple's latest trademark filing for "Apple TVOS" which was originally filed on Thursday. Apple's trademark was filed under International Class 009. While much of the verbiage is boiler plate, Apple always extends the verbiage to cover some specifics. Noteworthy in this application is that Apple adds a section at the end that covers home automation items such as residential security and surveillance systems; smoke and carbon monoxide detectors; thermostats and others like controlling blinds. The verbiage of Apple's trademark filing is specifically supported by an Apple TV related patent application that came to light in July. Earlier in the week, Apple filed for their 'Wallet' icon for Apple Watch trademark as well as one for the iPad Pro in Europe.
