Microsoft plays Catch-up

Microsoft has been laying the groundwork for a modern wallet application to compete with Apple Pay. They hired Amazon payments product leader Iain Kennedy and applying for money-transfer licenses in various states. Microsoft VP Joe Belfiore confirmed that "Windows is going to have a wallet concept. We're going to think about the range of payment scenarios." All Belfiore said for timing is that it will be soon.
