On May 27, 2015, the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office Granted Apple five registered trademark certificates covering two Apple icons. The First covers Apple's Siri icon and the second covers the App Store icon. Both trademarks were officially granted to Apple late yesterday. For those unfamiliar with what either of Apple's icons represents: Siri is a part of Apple's iOS which works as an intelligent personal assistant and knowledge navigator. The App Store is a digital distribution platform for mobile apps on iOS.

Apple Granted Three Registered Trademark Certificates for "Siri" Image

Registered Trademark 4,741,948 was filed under International Class 043 covering the following: "Hotel reservation services; restaurant reservation services; travel agency services, namely, making reservations and booking for temporary lodging; concierge services; sommelier services; providing information, advice, news, reviews, and commentary in the fields of dining and accommodations for travel."

Registered Trademark 4,741,946 was filed under International Class 041 covering the following: "Providing information, news and commentary in the fields of entertainment, popular culture, recreation and leisure activities, sports and sporting events, educational services, cultural events, and live theatrical productions; providing information relating to the organizing of educational, cultural, sporting, and entertainment exhibitions, and community, sporting and cultural activities, contests and games; providing advice and information in the field of educational and entertainment activities and events for children."

Registered Trademark 4,741,949 was filed under International Class 045 covering the following: "Personal concierge services for others comprising making requested personal arrangements and reservations and providing customer-specific information to meet individual needs, rendered online; online social networking services; providing a social networking website for entertainment purposes."

Registered Trademark 1,206,767 was filed under International Class 035 covering the following: "Retail store services featuring computer software and applications provided via the Internet and other computer and electronic communication networks; Retail store services featuring computer software and applications for use on handheld mobile digital electronic devices and other consumer electronics."

Registered Trademark 4,741,974 was filed under International Class 035 covering the following: "Maintenance, repair and updating of computer software and applications; providing information concerning computer software and web-based applications via the Internet and other computer and electronic communication networks; Providing search engines for obtaining data via communications networks; Providing temporary use of computer software and online facilities to enable users to access and download computer software and applications."
