Earlier today during Microsoft's developer conference we learned that the new browser coming to Windows 10, once known as project Spartan, is now being officially called Microsoft Edge. Microsoft Edge is the all-new Windows 10 browser built to give users a better web experience. Users will be able to write directly on webpages and share their mark-ups with others. Users will be able to read online articles free of distraction or use the offline reading feature for greater convenience. Microsoft Edge is the new browser that works the way users do.
Apple users will be able to use Siri with CarPlay in the future and get their favorite digital assistant to send a message hands-free while they're driving. Microsoft's equivalent digital assistant called Cortana will be able to the same thing and much more while users are working on their Windows 10 PCs this fall. More about Microsoft Edge will be rolling out over the coming weeks and months ahead.
Will Apple be bringing Siri to OS X this fall? I don't know. While one of Apple's patents have hinted of such a feature in the past, especially in context with iTunes, perhaps it's a feature whose time has come. We'll see soon enough if it's on Apple's OS X road map when Apple kicks off their World Wide Developer Conference in June.
