Pegatron's Pegacasa Team to Introduce Designer iPhone 6 Cases this Spring

Taiwan-based Pegatron, a contract electronics supplier for Apple and other brands, has unveiled a new product line of mobile accessories to cater to big-screen iPhone users.

 

The initial products in the Pegacasa IT series include plastic and leather smartphone cases for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus that start from NT$1,880 (US$60), as well as top-of-the-line and tailor-made fashion cases that cost as much as NT$23,800 (US$755), the company announced Tuesday.

 

Alain Lee, Pegatron's design director who leads the Pegacasa team, said that while revenue of the company's design solution services grew 20% year-on-year in 2014, they expect growth to jump by 40-50% with their new iPhone 6 accessories.

Lee added that Pegatron plans to begin selling its new mobile accessories through online platforms in late March or early April this year.

 

Pegatron has teamed up with Eslite Bookstore, a popular Taiwanese bookstore, on mobile accessory sales in Taiwan and Hong Kong. Eslite is expected to expand its distribution network to Chinese cities including Shanghai and Suzhou in the second quarter of this year.
