Apple adjusts their iPhone Order Ratio in Favor of the iPhone 6 Plus

10A News - Rumor
According to a new supply chain rumor, Apple has already adjusted its supply ratio for their two new iPhones after seeing that the demand for the iPhone 6 Plus is much stronger than expected. The report notes that the retail channel is unlikely to feel any immediate changes since it normally takes a while for adjustments on the production side to start affecting the retail.

The supply chain sources add that most component suppliers' current inventories are not sufficient for extra iPhone 6 Plus orders, and device manufacturers also do not have sufficient production lines for related assembly. Therefore, the retail channel may need to wait a while before seeing a significant increase in iPhone 6 Plus supply.

We noted in one of our Sunday reports that Chuck Jones of Forbes made an interesting point on the supply constraints of the iPhone 6 Plus as follows: "Forget what you have seen on various websites that a lot more iPhone 6's are in use vs. 6 Plus's. I believe this is due to supply constraints for the 6 Pluses and not representative of true demand as can be seen in the longer lead-times for the 6 Plus." It appears that Jones hit the nail on the head.

The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus will also become available in China on October 17 and pre-orders from the country has already surpassed two million units.
