Apple adds nine new CarPlay Partners While Adding Apps like Beats Music and Spotify
In March we posted a report titled "Apple's CarPlay is set to lead the OS Platform War for the Car," that showed how Apple got off to a blasting fast start at this year's International Motor Show in Geneva by announcing that Volvo, Ferrari, Mercedes and others were on board CarPlay for 2014. Others noted to be preparing to add CarPlay in 2014 or 2015 include the BMW Group, General Motors and Ford. Today, nine other car makers working with Apple's CarPlay were made public.
Apple has updated their CarPlay website with news of more car makers signing onto Carplay. They include Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Audi, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, Mazda and Ram.
Apple is also beginning to show what "Apps" will be coming to CarPlay like Beats Music and Spotify as noted below while promising even more are on the way.
