The Next Mac mini may Offer Samsung's new 840 EVO mini
The latest MacBook Pros with Retina use the new Samsung PCIe SSD. Samsung is hungry for more of Apple's SSD business and their latest entry could very well end up as a Mac mini upgrade option with capacity up to 1TB.
Samsung's has introduced the new 840 EVO mini SSD which realizes the same storage and functionality with one-fourth the size of the existing 840 EVO SSD. The SSD is a data storage device mainly used for laptops and small PCs.
According to Samsung, the new device boasts the industry's largest storage capacity and smallest size, with capacity expanded up to 1TB, weighing 8.5 grams and only 3.85 millimeters thick.
The new 840 EVO mini SSD uses the industry's most compact 10 nanometer class 128- GB high-performance NAND flash memory. Samsung's new 840 EVO mini SSD line-up is available in five capacities: 120GB, 250GB, 500GB, 750GB, and 1TB, supporting a wide range of computing requirements.
