The US Patent and Trademark Office officially published a series of 37 newly granted patents for Apple Inc. today. The first ten granted patents were covered in our first patent report of the day relating to newly granted design patents. In this report we cover Apple's granted patents relating to their iOS notification system and others. Apple Granted Patent for Managing Notification Service Connections and Displaying Icon Badges

 

Apple has been granted a patent today for their invention relating to the field of mobile device processing; and more specifically, to managing notification service connections of mobile devices and displaying icon badges.

Apple Granted Patent for the MacBook Pro's Borderless Display

 

Apple has been granted a patent today for their invention relating to the edges of the MacBook Pro's display module that may be aligned with the edges of the peripheral housing sidewalls to create the appearance of a borderless display.

Apple was granted three iPad Smart Cover patents last week and they've won another one today.

Apple Granted another Clickwheel Patent

 

Apple has been granted a patent which relates to input devices, including input devices with shared contact switch and touch sensor lines.

Apple's granted patent 8,395,590 titled "Integrated contact switch and touch sensor elements" was originally filed in Q2 2009 and published today by the US Patent and Trademark Office.
