Apple Files for New "Express Lane" and "VoicePass" Trademarks
On December 22, 2010, the US Patent & Trademark Office published Apple's latest trademark applications for "Express Lane" and "VoicePass." The six Apple Support Service related trademark filings were submitted under the International Classes 37, 41 and 42 which are detailed in this report. Technically, a quick check at the US Trademark Office shows that neither trademark has been taken thus far despite some companies having used these marks in the past.
Apple's Express Lane Trademark Application In-Part
Apple has submitted three separate filings for the "Express Lane" trademark under applications 85200810, 85200850 and 85200890. Apple's Support Service is available to Apple customers that are still within their warranties. It could help you find answers to problems faster and it stores details of your previous hardware or software issues.
Apple's VoicePass Trademark Application In-Part
Apple has submitted three separate filings for the "VoicePass" trademark under applications 85200948, 85200930 and 85200964. Apple's Support webpage states that "My Support Profile offers one-stop access to manage your products, support activities, and contact information. You can also join VoicePass, so Apple can quickly identify you and provide a fast, personalized experience when you call."

Apple's Express Lane and VoicePass trademark applications were filed under the same three International Classes as noted below:

All of Apple's Priority trademark filings for Express Lane and VoicePass were made in Trinidad and Tobago in June 2010.
It should be noted that we had posted a note in our December 21 report that Apple had filed for these trademarks in China earlier this month under International Classes 37 and 42. International Class 41 is unique to Apple's U.S. filing.
