Welcome to Patently Apple, a blog dedicated to delivering the very best coverage of Apple's Intellectual Property (IP) news in addition to top general Apple news of the day. Secondarily, we occasionally report on patents from Apple competitors such as Samsung, Microsoft, Google and other top tech companies while reporting on important tech industry news.

About Patently Apple's Logo: Our site logo includes a snippet from the famous painting from Leonardo da Vinci called the Vitruvian Man. Leonardo da Vinci was a creative genius for his time and was known for his advanced inventions and innovative thinking. Our logo was once much larger capturing part of the torso and extended arms. In 2014 we reduced the image. Below is the original graphic from which our logo was derived.
