Apple is planning to release the ultra-slim smartphone 'iPhone 17 Air' in September. Samsung wants to be ahead of Apple’s launch with the release of their version of it branded the Galaxy S25 Edge,

According to an industry source on the 24th, Samsung Electronics will hold a Galaxy new product launch event, 'Galaxy Unpacked', on May 13th.  The Galaxy S25 Edge will be released on May 23. It will be released first in Korea and China.

Pre-orders will be available from May 14 to 20, and reservations will open sequentially from May 21 to 23. It will be available in global markets, including the United States, on May 30. The estimated price is to be $1050 for the 256GB model and $1,135 for the 512GB model.

The thickness of the new product is estimated to be 5.8~6.4mm. The screen size is estimated to be 6.7 inches, the same as the Plus model. The camera will be equipped with a 200 million pixel wide-angle lens. In order to achieve the thinness, a telephoto lens will not be included, and two cameras will be applied on the back. The mobile application processor (AP), which acts as the brain of the smartphone, is known to be equipped with the Qualcomm 'Snapdragon 8 Elite', the same as the Galaxy S25. Source: Fnn News
