With Apple delaying its AI version of Siri this week, it's now rumored that Apple's future 'Command Center' is likewise delayed

On Friday, Patently Apple posted a report titled "Apple confirms Siri's AI upgrade will be further delayed and it's complete overhaul will be pushed to 2027 at the earliest." With Siri Ai postponed, it was obvious that Apple's smart home device, once rumored to be called the "Command Center" would likewise be postponed. This morning, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reported on just that.

Gurman: Apple has been planning to introduce the home hub in March, but it may take longer to reach consumers. The device’s new operating system — code-named Pebble — is heavily tied to App Intents features coming in iOS 18.4 and iOS 19, so it’s plausible that the hardware itself will ship a bit later.

Apple is planning to launch ‘LLM Siri’, a more conversational chatbot-like assistant, in iOS 19.4 – which will launch in spring 2026. Apple is also preparing its own lineup of smart home accessories

Gurman further noted in his report that Apple is still engaged in future smartglasses and continues to explore different form factors.

One of the more interesting concepts thus far surfaced back in an October 2024 patent for a modular design.  Some of the patent figures are presented below.

Apple is keeping their next-gen vision wear under wraps. Unknown at present is whether they'll focus on simple AI glasses as an iPhone accessory or aim higher for full blown AR Glasses to compete with project Orion as pictured below.
