Samsung Display will supply OLED panels with M14 material to all Apple iPhone 17 models to be released in September

A new supply chain report from ETNews further notes today states that Samsung Display will supply organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays based on the M14 material set to all next-generation iPhone models. M14 is a material that was only applied to the two iPhone 16 Pro models last year. The impact on the related materials industry is also being noted.
Industry supply chain sources stated today that Samsung Display will supply OLED panels with M14 material sets to all Apple iPhone 17 models to be released in the second half of this year.
An industry official familiar with Apple and Samsung told ETNews that "Apple applies the latest materials to the upper lineup first and then applies them to the lower lineup, but I know that the M14 material set will be expanded to the regular and air models this year."
OLED is a display that expresses colors with organic materials. When electricity is transmitted, it emits light on its own.
