Cape Fear is based on John D. MacDonald’s novel The Executioners — which inspired the 1962 feature of the same name directed by J. Lee Thompson from storyboards devised by original director Alfred Hitchcock — and the 1991 remake directed by Scorsese. Deadline

Hopefully it will be better than the 1991 version with Robert DeNiro which was a disaster in my view.

Oscar winner Marcia Gay Harden is set for a guest-starring role in 'Margo’s Got Money Troubles,' joining Elle Fanning, Nicole Kidman, Michelle Pfeiffer and Nick Offerman in the Apple TV+ series based on Rufi Thorpe’s novel.
