Apple is set to open a new Flagship Store in Miami on January 24 while establishing a new Data-Processing subsidiary in Shanghai
Late on Friday, Apple announced an opening date and location for its first store in the downtown Miami core and unveiled its sign on a barricade covering the storefront. The new Art Deco-influenced Apple store opens Jan. 24 at Miami WorldCenter, a $6 billion, 27-acre mixed-use development of retail and residential units.
The new Apple store fronts an outdoor courtyard garden at WorldCenter, 1010 NE Second Ave., that Apple says is designed to take advantage of its garden in the city setting, according to the Miami Herald.
Apple's press release was titled "Naturally inspiring." Apple's statement: "Our brand-new store in downtown Miami is opening soon. Get ready to discover an oasis in the heart of the city, where nature thrives and creativity flourishes. We can't wait to see what blooms in you." For locals, Apple provided a map pointing to where the store will be for those wanting to attend opening day events.
The new Apple store joins the tech chain’s nine other South Florida retail stores that include Lincoln Road Mall in Miami Beach, Dadeland, Aventura and The Falls malls from Kendall to North Miami-Dade and nearby Brickell City Centre.
Yesterday we also learned that that Apple Technology Development (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. was established on Friday. The company's business scope includes:

(Except for projects that require approval according to law, business activities can be carried out independently according to law with a business license) Self-display (featured) projects: big data services; data processing services; data processing and storage support services; information system integration services; information system operation and maintenance services; information technology consulting services; information consulting services (excluding licensed information consulting services); technical services, technology development, technology consulting, technology exchange, technology transfer, and technology promotion."
Tejas Kirit Gala holds several important positions at Apple and is the head of several Apple entities in China.
The new venture is wholly owned by Apple South Asia, according to the Chinese business registry platform Tianyancha, according to Tech in Asia.
