Apple updates their AirPods Pro Trademark to cover future Health Features & won a series of Design Patents in Hong Kong for CarPlay+
In the last couple of years there have been a few AirPods related patents discussing possible future health features in-the-works (01 and 02 and more) in addition to rumors from Mark Gurman about more health features coming to AirPods. This week Apple filed for a new AirPods Pro trademark in Hong Kong in order to expand the protections for their trademark for future health features and their latest for hearing aid support.
Apple filed AirPods Pro under International Class 010 which covers such things as General wellness instruments, namely, health, fitness, exercise, and wellness sensors, monitors, speakers and displays for measuring, displaying, tracking, reporting, monitoring, storing, and transmitting biometric data, heart rate, body movement, and calories burned; blood pressure monitors and sensors; medical accessories for use with mobile phones, handheld computers and more as presented below.
Unlike "patent applications" that provide the public with an abstract, summary and details of an invention, design patents published around the world are limited to only providing the public with design patent figures. No additional specifics of the design are made available.
