Yesterday, Apple was granted seven design patents for Apple store benches and a cabinet which are pictured in our cover graphic though with specificity.  Apple also filed for the “Apple Intelligence” Trademark in Europe and more, just prior to the Apple Event to be held on Monday September tenth.

Unlike "patent applications" that provide the public with an abstract, summary and details of an invention, design patents published around the world are limited to only providing the public with design patent figures. No additional specifics of the design are made available.

Design Patents for: Apple Store Bench

In mid-July Patently Apple posted a design and trademark report that covered Apple Store seating for Flagship Stores that provided special seating for Apple Store representatives to present Vision Pro headsets, as shown in our cover graphic. The design patents came from Europe which also presented a ‘Podium” form of furniture.

On Friday (Sept 6), Apple received a new series of seven design patents for Apple Store Benches related to presenting Vision Pro to customers. The designs differ from those in granted in Europe. Below is one set of granted design patent figures for one patent followed by three other variant designs. The remaining three are too similar to present.

Apple filed their design patents under Locarno Classification 06-01 that covers “all seats even if they are suitable for laying, such as benches, couches, divans [sofas], ottomans, benches for saunas and sofas.”
