Apple invents Virtual Stores for Vision Pro that will allow users to run product demos, check out new product features and more
In February 2024, Patently Apple posted an IP report titled "Apple has filed for their Third Patent regarding Shopping in a Virtual Apple Store for Vision Pro, iPad and Macs." If Apple could create realistic XR environments where Wildlife is in your living room, as presented below, then Apple could create an Amazing Virtual Apple Store where customers could shop, try out demonstrations, check out new features of the latest Apple products all from within your Vision Pro headset. Of course that could one day extend to Best Buy stores or a Nissan Car dealership and so forth.
Today the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office officially published four new Virtual Store patent applications covering different aspects of this huge project. When you look at the patent figures, they look cartoon-like and very elementary when in reality, we know how Vision Pro can knock our socks off with floating webpages, IMAX-like movies and so forth. So you have to let your imagination expand when viewing the lowly patent figures and envision how stunning Apple will make the Virtual Apple Store experience in the future.
