Apple has been Granted 10 new Design Patents in Europe while filing for the 'ChromaGlow' Trademark
Today, Patently Apple discovered new design patents filed in Europe. Eight of them covered the Apple Vision Pro's Dual Loop Band while the other two design patents related to "Fastening Clips for Cables." We also discovered that Apple filed for a trademark in both the U.S. and Hong Kong for Logic Pro's "ChromaGlow."
Unlike "patent applications" that provide the public with an abstract, summary and details of an invention, design patents published around the world are limited to only providing the public with design patent figures. No additional specifics of the design are made available.
Design Patent: Fastening Clip for Cables
Apple has been granted two design patents in Europe (Germany) under numbers 015066926-001 / 002 for "Fastening Clips for Cables." Apple filed their design under Locarno Class 08.08 covering "Fastening, Supporting or Mounting Devices not included in other classes."
The design was found on a list design patents that was between other Vision Pro cases and straps. Yet we're unable to confirm whether on not the fastener is related to Vision Pro, as Apple nor the European Patent Office described its use definitively.
Apple Vision Pro - Dual Loop Band
Apple has been granted eight design patents in Europe (Germany) under numbers 015067032-001 – 008 for the Apple Vision Pro's Dual Loop Band. Apple filed their design under Locarno Class 14.02 covering "Peripheral Apparatus and Devices." The patent figures below only cover a single patent. Apple files multiple design patents to emphasize a particular facet of a design that they want to individually protect against copy cats.
Trademark: ChromaGlow
In other IP News, Apple filed for the trademark "ChromaGlow" in Hong Kong under application 306623749 and in the U.S. under application 98665219. Apple filed their trademark under International Class 009 covering: " Computer software for creating and recording music; computer software for sound mixing and synthesizing; computer software for digital audio production, processing, and editing; computer software for the creation, control and customization of audio effects; computer software for hardware emulation and processing of audio signals."
